3 pages of ideas to inspire children to make their own well-being posters. Link to your work on Body and Mind, emotions, friends, Mental Health awareness, Anti - Bullying and ourselves. Each page shows colour ideas with phrases or words that relate to well - being. There is a black and white template included for children to use to create some of their own ideas on.

Here are two writing frames for children to record, write or draw what makes them happy and what makes them sad. There are two worked examples to share and talk about with the children showing what makes this pretend child feel happy and sad. Children can write single words depending on their ability level and / or paste in pictures to illustrate their feelings. This is a great way to get to know your new class too.

A writing and drawing frame where children can describe themselves in words and pictures. Examples are hobbies, favourite food, best friend and my family. There are 2 frames for children to fill in and a blank template for you or the children to use to extend the work. There are worked colour examples to show the children before they start work. Great for transition work, sharing with a new teacher or new pupil or for displays on Ourselves or all about Me.

3 worksheets to support children with recognising and communicating their feelings. Sheet 1 - Children circle the happy face in each row. They draw a happy face and then complete the sentence - I feel happy when… Sheet 2 - The same as sheet 1 but children circle the sad faces Sheet 3 - Children circle the angry faces The faces are all drawn on different types of balls that children can name. Extend by asking children to draw faces on balloons with marker pens showing different expressions.

Sheet 1 is more general, sheet 2 relates to painting and decorating and sheet 3 is to do with car mechanics. Opportunities for speaking and listening, learning new vocabulary and thinking about the jobs people do and the tools they may need.

Early years and KS1 children enjoy this game where they find pairs of cards and attempt to copy the Yoga poses. There are 10 pairs of colour cards to cut out and laminate and then they can be reused. Link with your PE or Mindfulness lessons. Children could also draw or paint based on the Yoga cats showing movement.

A novel idea for a classroom display where all the children contribute, with a link to PSHE. The idea is that the children produce hand prints, either using the outlines included or making hand prints and cutting around these. There are black and white and colour hand prints included. On each hand print, the children write, draw or paste a picture related to helping. Examples of ideas - people that help us, things we can do to help ourselves and others. Use a giant painted hand as the tree and add all the hands as leaves. Very nice for a school entrance where the display can inspire and motivate children.

4 pages of colour flashcards, each showing 6 fish. Children cut out the cards and describe what feelings or emotions the fish are showing. Start simply with happy and sad and then move on to other emotions such as surprised, angry, shocked etc. Duplicate and laminate the cards for matching games. Children could attempt to copy the emotions they see in the fish - they could use a mirror to help them.

5 worksheets based on the Senses - look, listen, touch, taste, smell. Each sheet has a different sense as it’s theme. Children can colour these in and discuss them. They can then create a doodle sheet of their own for one or more of the senses.

This is a speaking and listening activity and works well in pairs or small groups. There are 24 colour cards to cut out. Children discuss the cards and decide if the statements are positive or negative. They can then sort them into 2 sets. Can they change the negative statements into positive ones? The final sheet is a writing frame where children can make 2 lists - positive and negative statements. The first one is written for them. Links to About You and Healthy Lifestyles.

This is a fun activity where children cut out the flower faces and create their own feelings garden. It is nice for an interactive display. Children will need craft materials such as paints, collage, felt or crayons to create their garden and then add the flower faces. Another way of using these is to duplicate and play matching games, or sort into different emotions. Children can also use the cards to indicate how they feel about an activity or event. There are 4 pages of colour flower faces with 6 faces on each page.

5 colour sheets with 8 wellbeing cards on each to cut out. Each card shows an activity to discuss with children when thinking about their wellbeing and what they can do to support their wellbeing. Cut and laminate the cards and they can then be a lasting reusable resource or added to a wellbeing display. Children could work in pairs or with an adult to consider which of the cards would suit them and which they would not be interested in. They can make 2 piles. If there are other activities children come up with, then they could make some more cards of their own. Links to behaviour regulation. May be valuable too, for SEND children.

4 writing frames for KS1 with a health theme. Each shows a picture and room for children to write a word or sentence about the picture. Children will recognise some of the symbols related to health and wellbeing and including Covid symbols such as masks and social distancing.

A resource showing 11 colour photos of various activities or occupations. A useful resource for speaking and listening and conversations when learning to speak English. Sheet 1 shows the 11 photos. Sheet 2 lets pupils match the occupations to the words and discuss objects or equipment that might be associated with each activity or occupation.

10 pages with 2 ‘flags’ to a page make up this classroom display bunting banner. Each ‘flag’ contains a message or phrase such as inspire, be brave, dream big and wake up and be awesome. Children will be inspired by this to create their own bunting and positive messages.

Here are 3 templates that counsellors working with children and young people could use as a more visual aid and way of communicating the counselling contract. There is a blank one where you could fill in your own information or questions. There is one with key questions included. The third has key questions but added pictures / symbols. There is a black and white version and colour version of each of the 3 templates. Play therapists may also adapt the templates for their work with children and young people.

Children love to collect their friends (and teachers!) autographs at the end of the school year. Here are 14 examples of front covers and 14 examples of insert pages that children could use when making their own autograph books. Something for all the class to make them individual. Pages can be printed onto card or pasted onto thin card. Make 1 or 2 holes using a hole punch and attach a coloured ribbon or string for decoration.
